The Brown Welcome Center is fully handicapped accessible including men’s and women’s restrooms. The manor house and the summer cottage are not handicapped accessible.
Full tours of the grounds require either descending a stairway or inclined asphalt roadway to and from the lower garden areas. With prior arrangement (at least 24 hours) and subject to availability, 1, 3 and 5 passenger golf carts are available for senior citizens and handicapped persons for an additional fee. The golf carts are driven by Schedel volunteers only. There are no hard surface paths through the gardens and wheelchair traffic may be difficult particularly if the grounds are wet.
